Lyric Hearing Aids

Lyric Fitting:
During this appointment, your clinical audiologist will fit you with the Lyric hearing aid and provide a detailed explanation of how it works. We’ll begin by measuring the depth of your ear canal using a specialised tool and fitting a dummy Lyric to determine the perfect size for you.

Next, we will program the Lyric to match your hearing test results and carefully insert it into your ears. Our goal is to ensure you are completely satisfied with both the comfort and sound quality, making any adjustments as needed.

Additionally, we will show you how to use the SoundLync, a magnetic adjustment tool that allows you to fine-tune the Lyric and remove it if necessary.

Lyric Change:
This appointment is scheduled to replace your Lyric device as the battery is nearing its end. During your visit, we will carefully remove the current Lyric from your ear, assess your ear health, and perform any necessary wax removal. Afterwards, we’ll program a new Lyric and ensure it is comfortably reinserted.

Lyric Annual Review:
This appointment will give us the opportunity to discuss how you are managing with your Lyric hearing aids and determine if any further adjustments are needed.

Your clinical audiologist will start by reviewing various listening situations where you have noticed improvements and identifying areas where you seek further enhancement.

Next, we will use an otoscope and microscope to examine your ear canal health and perform any necessary ear wax removal. We will then conduct a hearing test to assess any changes in your hearing, discuss the results, and make recommendations for improvement.

Additionally, we will check and clean your hearing aids to ensure they are functioning optimally. Finally, we can program the aids based on the new hearing test and make further adjustments according to your feedback.
