Ms Emma Shears

Ms Emma Shears joined the team at Harley Street Hearing in 2026. She completed her Masters of Clinical Audiology degree at the University of Melbourne in Australia in 2016 and prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Physiology.

She first started her career working in regional Australia where she gained extensive experience in adult diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services, wax removal, and paediatric diagnostic audiology. She specialised in complex hearing care needs working with a range of hearing aid manufactures and styles including Bone Anchored Hearing Aid devices and working with cochlear implant patients, allowing her to gain the experience and expertise in fitting and providing even the most complex hearing cases with optimal and personalised care. Additionally, Emma gained significant experience in paediatric diagnostic services working with children of all ages and abilities, where she became the sole infant diagnostic audiologist for the region.

Emma then continued to build on this strong foundation by moving back to the city of Melbourne and continuing her audiological work with complex adult and paediatric cases whilst also expanding her scope of practice by specialising in tinnitus management and care, and working more closely with musicians and musician hearing care services. She then moved to London and prior to starting at Harley Street Hearing, she was working full time in the NHS in paediatric audiological services, and adult hearing services, further broadening her audiological knowledge by specialising in Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) assessments, balance testing and working more closely to support adults with more complex needs.
