Romy is a Clinical Lead Audiologist with 10 years of experience in both private and multidisciplinary clinical settings. She holds a BSc and MSc in Audiology, both awarded with distinction from the University of Cape Town, where her undergraduate research was also published.
Her clinical expertise focuses on adult diagnostic audiology, including comprehensive hearing aid assessments and fittings. She has a particular interest in hearing aid technology and is dedicated to tailoring solutions that help patients benefit from the latest advancements. She also has a special interest in the assessment and management of tinnitus and hyperacusis.
Driven by a desire to make a tangible, positive difference in people’s lives through communication and connection, she is passionate about improving lives through better hearing. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a full member of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA).
Originally from South Africa, she is fluent in Afrikaans and can conduct consultations in the language. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys creating pottery in her free time.
