Hear Here 2026: Bringing Professionals Together with Hearing Loss

On Thursday 4 June 2026, professionals from across industries will come together in London for Hear Here: Hearing Loss Community an evening dedicated to connection, shared experience, and practical insight for navigating hearing loss in the workplace.

Hosted by Harley Street Hearing in collaboration with EY, this event continues a growing movement to ensure that hearing loss is better understood, supported, and openly discussed within professional environments.

Why Hear Here Matters

Hear Here was founded in 2016 with a simple but powerful goal: to create a space where professionals with hearing loss can connect with others who genuinely understand their experiences.

The idea originated from a young patient living with progressive hearing loss, who spoke candidly about feeling isolated and disconnected from peers facing similar challenges. That insight became the catalyst for building a community grounded in openness, shared understanding, and mutual support.

Today, Hear Here has evolved into a thriving network – one that empowers individuals not just to cope, but to succeed and grow in their careers.

A Shared Mission with EY Hearing Community

This year’s event builds on a strong partnership with the EY Hearing Community, an internal initiative created to support D/deaf and hard of hearing colleagues.

The EY Hearing Community provides guidance, practical strategies, and peer support to help individuals overcome workplace barriers and build successful careers. Crucially, their mission extends beyond EY — aiming to share knowledge, learn from others, and contribute to a more inclusive working world for people with hearing loss.

What to Expect This Year

Following the success of last year’s event — which welcomed around 100 attendees — 2026 promises to be even more impactful.

The evening will include:

  • Keynote speakers sharing real-world experiences of navigating careers with hearing loss
  • Insights into AI-driven technology, and how it can help reduce workplace communication barriers
  • Inspiring career journeys highlighting resilience, adaptation, and success
  • Networking opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals across industries

Whether you’re early in your career or an established professional, the event offers both practical takeaways and meaningful connections.

Accessibility at the Core

Accessibility is central to the Hear Here experience. To ensure everyone can fully engage, the event will include:

  • British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters
  • Live transcription via a palantypist
  • A welcoming, inclusive environment designed for open conversation
